2013 has been a full and fruitful year for many of the RdC networks throughout Latin America!
We are anticipating a lot of activities and inter-Network connections this year. The cross pollination and mutual inspiration that comes through network-to-network and church-to-church connections is being recognized by all as the most fruitful form of growth and development among the Network churches.
RdC CR – The Costa Rica Network is planning a leadership gathering for churches there in April. Comunidad Cristiana Shalom is hosting the gathering for church leadership. The RdC DR Network leader Fausto Liriano, pastor of El Circulo, will be teaching on creating a leadership culture among young people and sharing the experiences of next generation community of faith in Santo Domingo.
RdC Guatemala - Plans are being set in motion to invite pastors Roy Soto and Alberto Castro (RdC CR) to Guatemala to share with network leaders there in the month of May. Network leader Carlos Herfst will connect them with seminary students from the Presbyterian seminary where he teaches. The goal is to influence emerging young leaders and participate in another space for RdC Network wide church leaders.
RdC DR – ICC church of the DR network is going to host Roy Soto and Alberto Castro for a leadership focused gathering in May. Former ICC pastor and now church planter and catalyst Robert Guerrero will also participate in this gathering / retreat.
RdC Nicaragua - Catalyst for the Nicaraguan network Douglas Valerio, coordinated a visit by Alberto Castro and Arturo Piedra of CCA church of Alajuelita, CR. Over 185 pastors attended this gathering! These are leaders who are open to learning more about the Kingdom of God and the church’s role in God’s mission of restoration. They met in the cities of JInotepe, Rivas and El Rosario for theological reflection, biblical teaching on integral mission and stories of transformation.
RdC Mexico - The emerging network in Mexico has been actively gathering in and around the Distrito Federal to motivate and learn from one another. They are creating spaces of relational richness that is deepening friendships and generating beautiful missional expressions of hope and change from their communities of faith.
